So, today is Frugal Friday.
First series in Baby food making!!

I am working on a book on how to save money when you have a baby. So one of my best tips for moms, and especially moms of multiples is make your own baby food.
Yes, Ladies try it. It is so easy and healthy for your little ones. I did this with my twin boys and if I made a couple things a day from about 5 and half months till they started eating and I had a great supply to start.
First buy some good ice cube trays, rubbermaid! Don't bother with the ones they sell in the baby stores. The one i bought just broke and did no hold enough cubes. So go check the world of Walmart and get some there.
I hope you have room in your freezer, I used plastic bags to keep thier food in or you can use tupperware. I used masking tape to mark the date I made the food. Experts say baby food can last up to 3 months in the fridge. Mine never did because 2 boys eating.
Next, what to start on. wholesomebabyfood.com has a great list and charts on every stage. CHeck them out and use your judgement on what is best for your baby. We started with yams. The boys loved them!! Yum, yum!
